Osun APC Blasts Reps Deputy Speaker

The House of representatives election that brought in Sulaiman Yusuf Lasun as the deputy speaker of the house has been rejected by the Elder Council of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Daily Independent reports. Lasun Yusuf The Osun APC who also dissasociated themselves from Lasun saying the speaker won his position as a result of personal interest and vaulting ambition detrimental to the progress and stability of the party. President Muhammadu Buhari explained what the All Progressives Congress (APC) intends to do to implement change agenda. President Buhari has visited Nigerians in South Africa. Buhari has promised to introduce the basic policies of his government in order to move the country forward. The president spoke during his visit to Nigerian diaspora in Johannesburg, South Africa. He said administration was determined to secure the country, improve the economy and eliminate corruption. “Some articulate writers have said if we do not kill corruption, corruption will kill Nigeria. “This APC administration intends to kill corruption in Nigeria. We will do our best, I assure you ,” Buhari said. A Nigerian student at Harvard Business School in United States, Nneka Ezeigwe, has won the best prize in the School’s art competition. Nneka Ezeigwe According to a statement, published on the school’s official website, each year they ask students a simple question, taken from the lines of a poem by Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Mary Oliver. The question read: “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” The Guardian reports that Ezeigwe’s response was the best one and she won “The Portrait Project”. 2 Anambra University Students Found Dead In Hostel Room

Two students of a university in Anambra state have reportedly died in a hostel room located not far from the school. Daily Independent reports that the female student, who hails from Imo state, visited her boyfriend on June 6, Saturday. The young man was 300 level student of public administration. The couple went in the room but never left it until the door was forced open by the police after a neighbor raised the alarm. The students allegedly died after sex romp and their neighbors never knew until their bodies started decomposing. The guy allegedly drugged his girlfriend to have a free sex, which caused her death. He reportedly also took the pills and lied next to her. Special anti-robbery squad from Awkuzu removed both bodies and deposited then at morgue. Uche Ezeh, the police public relation officer, confirmed the incident, adding that the investigation was ongoing.

The issue of illegality has been ruled out in the emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki as the senate president by the president of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr. Augustine Alegeh (SAN). According to the Punch, Alegeh said that Saraki’s emergence  border on moral ground not on legal.
