In recent times, Youth Corps members have been known to
be used during elections as ‘mini-officials’. However, what these four
corpers were seen doing can be said to be patriotic!
The youth corp members who obviously will be serving as ad hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission in today’s election were pictured sleeping yesterday night on a carton placed on the bare floor of an INEC office.
They were said to have decided to sleep at the INEC office in order for them to be able to go out early this morning to carry out their election duties. See the photo below:
Meanwhile, about a week ago, reports made it known that the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) members in Kebbi state were being taught how to use m60 guns for protection because of the insecurity related to the forthcoming elections.
